Edinburgh Weekly Permit

£37.00£367.00 Exc. VAT

You are required to have a permit if the skip is to be sited on the road, we will need to apply for the permit that is associated with your area.

We WILL NOT allow any skip to be dropped on the road without a permit. It will be your responsibility to inform Hamilton Waste when you need to renew the permit (this is a minimum of 3 days’ notice).

If your permit runs out and you haven’t informed us to renew the permit you can be charged by the Council for having a skip without an up to date permit.

If you are unsure of when your permit runs out please call our office and we will answer any questions you may have.

Edinburgh Council Parking Bay Location & Charges

If the location of the skip is to be placed in a permit/pay & display parking bay, we will need to apply for this bay to be suspended depending on where the area will be dependent on any other charges which you will incur i.e. NSL within the Edinburgh Area charges are based on an hourly rate, running from 5-7 days depending on area. We would apply for the parking bay to be suspended at the same time as the permit application so there’s no delay in getting the skip to you.

A permit does NOT allow you to drop a skip on a pavement nor on a grass verge unless the local council within your area has given Hamilton Waste & Recycling Ltd authorisation.

When you call our staff will help to find a suitable location that will co-inside with councils conditions. We can speak with an engineer if required to confirm the location of the skip and if there’s any other conditions that need to be added.

If you’re not sure, please call our office and we will be happy to help resolve any questions you have.
